Exhibition Description
Project a Black Planet: The Art and Culture of Panafrica explores Pan-Africanism as a global movement of anti-colonial resistance, solidarity, and collective imagination. Presented at the Barbican Art Gallery, the exhibition brings together artists from Africa and the African diaspora across Brazil, the Caribbean, North America, and Western Europe. Claudette Johnson is among the featured artists, connecting her practice to a broader history of Black artistic and cultural exchange.
