Biography
Papa Ibra Tall (1935-2015) was a weaver, painter, and illustrator. Known for his role in the Ecole de Dakar, an art school/movement based in Senegal, his works feature bright colors and abstracted shapes. Taking the form of large scale installations, much of his art was created with the intention of transforming space.
