Biography

Woody De Othello (b. 1991, Miami, Florida, USA) is a multidisciplinary visual artist known for his sculptural ceramics, large-scale bronze works, paintings and installations that animate everyday objects with uncanny presence and cultural resonance. Drawing on his Haitian heritage and the urban environments of Miami and the Bay Area, De Othello transforms household items—chairs, clocks, fans, doorknobs—into anthropomorphic figures that evoke themes of domesticity, ritual, memory and the supernatural.
