Biography

Rigaud Benoit (1911–1986) was a Haitian painter. His work is known for its careful draughtsmanship, muted colors, and humor in his narrative works. Many of his surrealist works depict Voodoo deities or scenes. Benoit's paintings often depicted daily life.
