Biography

Kwamé Azure Gomez (b. 1999 Akron, OH) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, installation, performance, and community-engaged work. His work explores Black identity, ritual, masculinity, spirituality, and ancestral memory, often drawing from Afro-diasporic traditions and personal lineage. Through symbolic imagery and immersive environments, Gomez creates spaces of reflection that honor Black presence, healing, and transformation while challenging inherited narratives around power and visibility.
