Biography
a’driane nieves (1982- ) is an American multidisplinary artist working across painting, works on paper, and sonic pieces. She began painting as a therapeutic outlet. Abstract expressionist painting gave her the visual language to navigate the impacts of childhood abuse. Her work touches on Black bodies, experiences, traumas & triumphs, and healing.
nieves received her Associate of Arts from Camden County College in 2011.
