Biography

Jayson Musson (1977- ) is an American artist working across various mediums such as drawing, textile, performance, painting, and music. ⁠Musson has an alter ego, Hennessy Youngman. Through Youngman he explores the hypocrisy of the art world through satire. He is known for his Coogi sweater painting series exploring the relationship "high" art and craft. His works on paper include vibrant colored figures engaging in seems of whimsical folly. Musson received a BFA in photography from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2011, he completed an MFA in painting from the University of Pennsylvania.
