Thando Phenyane

Thando Phenyane (b. 1997, Johannesburg, South Africa) is a South African painter whose background in architecture deeply informs his practice. His figurative works draw on a wide pool of influences—from pop culture and design to psycho-analysis and Afro-Futurist thought—and explore the relationship between Black identity and space.
