Biography

Samuel Nnorom (b. 1990, Nigeria) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice traverses tapestry-like sculpture, textile reworking, and mixed media. Inspired by his early life sketching portraits in his father’s shoe shop and working with fabric scraps in his mother’s tailoring workshop, Nnorom identifies as a “custodian of material culture.” His signature forms—bubbled clusters of fabric-covered foam spheres—constitute what he terms the “fabric of society,” evoking social structure, memory, and community.
