Biography
Merikokeb Berhanu (b. 1977, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) is a contemporary painter known for weaving abstraction and figurative motifs to explore themes of urbanization, nature, memory, and the tensions between technology and the natural world. She is also a founding member of the Nubia Studio, a collective arts space in Addis Ababa.
