Biography

Marie-Claire Messouma Manlanbien (b. 1990, Paris, France) is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work bridges the craft of her Guadeloupean and Ivorian heritage with contemporary installation, textile art, and sculptural practice. Raised in a trans-Atlantic context between Côte d’Ivoire, Guadeloupe and France, she draws on ancestral craft, materials of industry, and poetic narrative to compose layered “maps” of identity, memory, body and cosmos.
