Biography

Lance Minto Strouse is a Miami-based multidisciplinary artist whose work explores legacy, memory, and the spiritual presence embedded within everyday materials. Rooted in Caribbean and African American cultural histories, Strouse constructs paintings, objects, and mixed-media assemblages that reflect on personal and ancestral narratives. His practice often considers how identity is shaped across generations, how memory is held in the body, and how the unseen—ritual, spirit, intuition—moves through material form. Strouse is emerging as a distinctive voice within Miami’s contemporary art landscape, contributing to dialogues around Black futurity, community, and cultural renewal.
