Biography

Kameelah Janan Rasheed (b. 1985, East Palo Alto, CA, USA) is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, and educator whose expansive practice investigates language, text, knowledge production, and Black epistemologies. Working across installations, publications, performance-lectures, print, collage, public text works and digital media, Rasheed examines how reading, writing and interpretation function as acts of remembering, forgetting and transformation.
