Jamel Shabazz (b. 1960, Brooklyn, New York, USA) is an American photographer whose body of work over four decades documents Black youth culture, street style, urban life and community in New York City and beyond. His images of everyday people—youth in parks, subways, brownstone stoops—capture moments of dignity, style and resilience in neighbourhoods often overlooked.
