Cydne Jasmin Coleby

Cydne Jasmin Coleby (1993- ) is a Bahamian interdisciplinary artist working in digital and mixed media. Starting with personal and family photographs and other archival materials, Coleby transcribes their experiences through the visual motifs such as Bahamian Junkanoo and bright, vibrant colors. Processing trauma, she complicates the narrative of a tropical paradise.  Coleby received her associate's degree from the University of the Bahamas in 2013.
