Other mountains, Adrift beneath the waves
This exhibition is part of a long-term collaborative project developed through TBA21–Academy’s The Current IV: Caribbean fellowship, continuing a presentation first shown in Venice and expanded for Panama.

A collaborative exhibition by Nadia Huggins & Tessa Mars, presented by TBA21–Academy at the Museum of Contemporary Art Panama (MAC Panama). The exhibition opens March 5 and runs through August 16, 2026, featuring newly commissioned and evolving works that explore oceanic and terrestrial relationships.
Exhibition Description
The exhibition brings together works by Nadia Huggins and Tessa Mars that use oceanic and mountainous metaphors to explore ecological transformation, resistance, and fluid relationships between land, sea, and identity. Through photography, painting, sculpture, and installation, the artists reflect on shifting landscapes, memory, and alternative ways of understanding place and environment.
