Meet Miami MoCAAD’s Interns
My name is Christian Allen and a 2021 graduate of The University of Miami with a degree in Computer Science. During my internship with Miami MoCAAD I have been assisting the organization with website updates/maintenance, graphic designs and engagement with our ever expanding Art Community through various avenues of communication including the quarterly newsletter. The thing I like most about Miami MoCAAD is that it truly focuses on the Art of the African Diaspora. Miami MoCAAD brings underrepresented artists to the forefront of Contemporary Art and shines a light on the artist and issues they seek to portray.

My name is Arielle Bowleg. I am currently enrolled in the clinical psychology master's program at Barry University and I am in my second year of the program. I was born and raised in the Bahamas and I moved to Miami in 2017. In my free time, I enjoy reading books and painting which is one of the reasons why I enjoy interning with Miami MoCAAD.

Hello, my name is Jada Brown and I am currently a Senior at the University of Miami majoring in Psychology and Creative Advertisement. My role here at Miami MoCAAD is to research art, artists and art movements of the African Diaspora and aid in GiveMiami Day. I am so excited to be working to further showcase all aspects of the African Diaspora because there is such a deep-rooted history that is still expanding today.

Divya Srinivasan is a student at the University of Miami, majoring in Art History on the pre-law track. Her goal is to pursue a career in the legal field, working within the intersection of law and the fine arts industry. As an intern for Miami MoCAAD, Divya is excited to conduct art historical research and document the impact that diasporic cultures have on the understanding of aesthetic production and visual culture.
