Biography

Luana Vitra (1995- ) is a Brazilian artist working across sculpture, performance, and installation. Her work is closely tied to her home region, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The starting point for much of her work is iron ore and copper, mineral resources her home is known for. Her installations are symmetrical, a reference to Afro-Brazilian religions, but nonspecific sacred geometries.  Vitra received her BFA in sculpture from Guignard School of Arts in 2018.
