Kehinde Wiley is a portraiture painter known for his large oil paintings of Black men as the center of reimagined works of the old Masters and other famous paintings. In a departure from his usual subjects, here are works depicting Black women with elaborate and detailed hairstyles. It is easy to see Black women wearing the crown they deserve and are not seen often wearing often enough
