Biography

Kandy G. Lopez (1987-) is an American artist working acorss fiber, collage, glass, and prints. Her work explores cultural identity, representation, and power. Lopez is driven by a desire to represent marginalized individuals who inspire and move her, constantly seeking challenges both materially and metaphorically.  Lopez received her BS in Marketing and Management and her BFA in Painting and Drawing,  both in 2011, from the University of South Florida. She received her MFA in Painting from Florida Atlantic University in 2014.
