Biography

Jazlyne Sabree (b. 1990, Willingboro, NJ) is a multidisciplinary artist whose vibrant practice explores Afrofuturism, Black femininity, and ancestral memory through painting, digital art, and mixed-media installation. Blending spiritual symbolism with bold color and geometric form, Sabree creates visual worlds that center liberation, joy, and the multidimensional experiences of the African diaspora. Her work imagines future possibilities informed by cultural heritage, using portraiture and cosmic landscapes to reframe Black identity beyond the constraints of the present. Sabree’s art has been exhibited nationally in galleries, public art initiatives, and cultural institutions, and her community-centered projects emphasize creativity as a tool for empowerment and collective healing. She is based in Washington, D.C.
