Biography

Emeka Ogboh (1977- ) is a Nigerian sound and installation artist. He creates sound "portraits" of Lagos that immerse listeners in the specific sounds for the city. His installations and culinary projects are collages of sensory elements, aimed at exploring the translation, transformation, and encoding of private, public, and collective memories and histories into diverse sensorial experiences.  Ogboh studied art at the University of Nigeria in Nsukka and graduated in 2001.
